Winter is one of our favorite times of the year. Big females & males feeding aggressively packing on weight preparing for extremely cold Temps. We Target Crappie holding tight to structure on Northern lakes like C.J Brown, Caesars Creek, Grand Lake/St Marys in Ohio. On Southern lakes located on the notorious (Arc of Slabs) like Grenada, Arkabutla, Sardis in Mississippi. We locate these Monster Crappie chasing big balls of bait fish in open water. Our Northern tactic requires a single pole rig with a 1/16 or 1/32oz jig head combined with Big Bite Baits, 1.75 Crappie Tube dipping structure very slow. Our Southern approach require a Spider rigging Technique using multiple poles rig with 1/16 or 1/8oz jig head combined with 1.75 Crappie Tubes slow trolling about .4 mph. – Big Bite Baits Pro Team Jeremy Davis and Warren Cotton
