Summer Heat – Tip For More Crappie

Has the hot weather slowed the Crappie Fishing on your favorite lake? Next time try this simple Summer Tip to put more Crappie in your boat!

1 24 oz jig

“Downsize to 1/24 or 1/64 oz Jig Heads to allow for a slower fall rate”

Summer Tip: If the hot weather & water has slowed the Crappie fishing in your area down size your jigs to 1/24 or 1/64 oz. The slower fall rate will trigger strikes from lethargic Crappie.  In addition, don’t be afraid to tip your jigs with wax worms or add scent/attractant!

Summer time can be a great time to harvest Crappie. Beat the heat by fishing early morning, late evenings or try your hand at night fishing.
